I completely agree with Richard Reeb’s statement that abortions are always violent, except in the case of miscarriages or stillborn births. Not only are they violent in the terms of killing an innocent life, but they very often harm physically and emotionally the women who have had the abortions.
It has been shown that women who have had abortions often experience depression and a low self-worth after an abortion, which is referred to as Post Abortion Syndrome (PSD). The abortion industry of Planned Parenthood does not warn these women about these feelings, or offer counseling. They deceive the women who are considering this procedure, often telling them that it’s “just tissue”. They don’t warn them about how the abortion procedure itself can cause physical and emotional problems; and this is called “women’s health”? I wonder if they now tell them that their baby will be dismembered in order to sell their body parts? Probably not, as that would be admitting that the baby HAS body parts.
The majority of women I have encountered, including myself, have had abortions because it was “just not convenient,” “not planned,” “not the right time,” or had been used as a form of contraception. The abortion industry has convinced us that those excuses are just fine, but oftentimes the guilt will follow. I wasn’t a Christian at that time, so it can’t be said that I was feeling guilty because I was influenced by “one of those.” I lived for 40 years feeling the pain of my decision, until I attended a Bible study with other women who had felt the same pain. I witnessed the tears of most of these women as they found out that they were forgiven! These women were not all young girls when they had the abortion. Almost all of us were women at the time. Even some of us were married! None of these pregnancies were caused by rape or incest. As Richard Reeb said, “Not all ‘unwanted’ children born in the United States face poverty and crime.”
I believe that if this country does not wake up, future generations will look back and say, “And they did what to their babies? Why didn’t anyone speak up?”
