The San Bernardino County Partnership for Renewable Energy and Conservation (SPARC) will host a informational meeting at the Lucerne Valley Community Center from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, March 15. SPARC is drafting a Renewable Energy Element for the County General Plan.
Friday Night Dinners, Taco Night at VFW
The V.F.W. Post 551 in Lucerne Valley is now doing Friday Night Dinners from 3-6 p.m. Also, the V.F.W. is continuing Taco Night on Thursdays from 2-6 p.m. All are welcome to enjoy. The VFW is at 31861 Highway 18, Lucerne Valley.
School board meeting changed
The regularly scheduled Lucerne Valley Unified School District board of trustee meeting for March 10 has been rescheduled to Friday, March 18 at 4 p.m. in the Lucerne Valley Unified School District's board room, 8560 Aliento Road, Lucerne Valley.
Community Workshops
Workshop meetings will be held on March 30 and July 20 to discuss the update of Lucerne Valley's Community Plan.
The county invites everyone to the events, which will provide an opportunity to learns what's going on, ask questions, take surveys and voice your opinions. For those who can't attend the meetings, visit countywideplan.com/LucerneValley.

Public Meeting Scheduled to Address Land Use in the Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area
Representatives from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marine Corps will host a Resource Management Group meeting on April 2 from 10 a.m. to noon. The meeting will be held at the Lucerne Valley Community Center, 33187 Highway 247 East, Lucerne Valley.
The purpose of the meeting is to communicate the Marine Corps’ plans to conduct a large-scale exercise Aug. 1-31 that will include training in the congressionally established shared use area of the Johnson Valley Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area. Information concerning temporary land closures and public safety related to then exercise will be discussed. All members of the public are welcome to attend.

Lucerne Valley Assembly of God Bake Sale
Lucerne Valley Assembly of God will host a Bake Sale from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 on the porch of the Lucerne Valley Market and Hardware Store.
All proceeds go to the church's food ministry and children’s ministry.
Chamber Meeting date change
Monthly meeting dates have changed for the Lucerne Valley Chamber of Commerce. No longer will the meetings be held on the second Monday of every month. The meetings are being moved to the second Tuesday of every month. Meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Senior Center.

Public meeting on Marine Corps' large-scale exercise plans
A Resource Management Group Public Meeting with the MCAGCC and BLM Representatives will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 2 at the Lucerne Valley Community Center.

The Lucerne Valley Assembly of God Church is adding a new Spanish language church service. The new service is Sundays at 6 p.m. (Spanish).
Other service times are Sundays at 10:45 a.m. (English); and Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. (English).

His Closet Info
It's a Shoe-in! Please bring your gently used, paired shoes to His Closet. SHOES ARE NEEDED, so please bring them for our shoe drive when you come by.
His Closet provides free clothing and household items to anyone in need who stops by, from the blessings which have been donated to us. His Closet open hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays.
His Pantry provides free food to Lucerne Valley residents only. His Pantry open hours are the last Friday of each month, from 10 a.m. to noon, or earlier if we run out of food. Please bring two medium-sized boxes and proof of Lucerne Valley residence.
