LUCERNE VALLEY — Congressman Paul Cook will give an update on federal programs and legislation that affect the region during the 5 p.m., May 3 meeting of the Lucerne Valley Economic Development Association at the Lucerne Valley Senior Center.
Cook, a retired Marine colonel, represents the 8th Congressional District. Cook is a Republican who is running for reelection this year.
LVEDA also is expected to discuss a possible senior housing project in Lucerne Valley and hear from a consultant who has been hired by the association to prepare a "Market Study/Needs Assessment." If time permits, members will discuss updates on San Bernardino County and Bureau of Land Management renewable energy plans.
The Senior Center is located at 10431 Allen Way, Lucerne Valley.
