Outriders ride on Sunday, Jan. 19
The Lucerne Valley Outriders will hold their inaugural ride Sunday, Jan. 19 at Joe Rozar’s place. If you plan to ride be there at 10 a.m. to ride out at 11 a.m. Barbecue and potluck of chicken and ribs will be about 3 p.m. Bring a side dish, your chairs and your drinks. Story telling around the bon fire. See you there.
LV-JV MAC meeting
The Lucerne Valley-Johnson Valley Municipal Advisory Council will meet at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 15 at the Community Center.
Action items include the Senior Center and Community Center solar modules, the Lucerne Springs Property, Foothill Road paving and the improvement of the intersection of Larrea Road and Highway 247.
Non-action items include a progress report on the Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan.
MAC members are Richard Selby, Joanna Wright, Jean Fuqua, Lorane Abercrombie, Roger Peterson, Jean Magee and Betty Munson.
Car Gathering
The next Car Gathering will be held on Jan. 23 at Cafe 247. The gathering is an opportunity for classic car lovers to bring their vehicles and enjoy the company of other classic car lovers.
Pre-K Academy openings
Spots are still open for the spring semester of the Lucerne Valley Pre-K Academy, funded by First 5 San Bernardino. Classes are free.
The spring semester starts Jan. 21. Class is 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Thursday.

ABC’s of Water
Ever wonder how much water we really have in the High Desert, or what kind of chemicals are found in our groundwater? The Mojave Water Agency uses science to make sound decisions to ensure a sustainable water supply for the region.
Find out about MWA’s monitoring and sampling programs, its scientific investigations, and its vast data repository by attending the ABC’s of Water session on Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Lucerne Valley Clubhouse
Lucerne Valley Clubhouse is now open Monday through Friday, 12:30 to 5:18 p.m.
The clubhouse is open for business and the staff looks forward to a visit from former and new clubhouse members and friends from the community. The public is invited to stop in and learn about the program.
The location will soon have a snack bar and will be having potlucks, future outings, friends and family days, holiday celebrations, groups and more.
The Lucerne Valley Clubhouse is run by Pacific Clinics, which has other clubhouses in San Bernardino and Yucca Valley.
