Thanks from the Grand Marshal
There are three significant events that have happened in my life. The first, when I married, the second , when I had my children and the third being Grand Marshal at the 2014 Fourth of July Parade. I would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce’s Parade Committee for choosing me, what an honor! Also Peter Day of the Leader for his “glowing” article, Joy Shugent for driving me in her convertible and not putting her foot on the gas or brake so that I could stay upright, (her first time in the parade, she didn’t know what she had signed up for) . Also Pastor Gary Schlenz and his wife, Linda, for their comments at the judges’ stand. I hardly recognized the person they were announcing, great job! I would also like to thank all the people who were on the sidelines of the parade route who cheered me on, it was awesome!. What a wonderful fifteen minutes of fame I had. This is an experience I will forever cherish. I absolutely, totally, love Lucerne Valley.
