D.C. trip fundraiser
at Lazy Lizard Ranch
A fundraising event entitled “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Lazy Lizard Ranch. The family friendly event will feature music, line dancing, barbecue and lots of fun.
Proceeds will go to Lucerne Valley Middle School teacher Naomi Oyadomari students’ trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City next June.
Cost for “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” will be $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Fall Festival
His Closet Ministries will celebrate its Sixth Anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will feature live music, games for the whole family, face painting, pony rides, piñatas, free student haircuts, bounce house, prizes, food and drinks and more.

Fundraising meeting for Visalia Park set for Nov. 5
A meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Lucerne Valley Community Center in regard to a fund raising effort to develop the former Lucerne Springs Pool Center (Visalia Road) as a park. Any group or individual interested in participating is invited to attend.

Lucerne Valley Community Church will hold a Rummage Sale over two weekends. It will run Nov. 6, 7 and 8 and on the following weekend on Nov. 13, 14 and 15. Time is 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Free classes on hypertension
Azusa Pacific University nursing students Jessica DeLaby and April Fibrow are presenting free classes on hypertension.
Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Lucerne Valley Senior Center. The series concludes with a health fair on Nov. 15, which will include local firefighters and a nutrition expert from St. Mary’s Hospital.

Lucerne Valley Blooming and Budding Artists Art Show Nov. 22 and 23
It’s time for the Blooming and Budding Artist to get together for the Annual Art Show on Saturday, Nov. 22 and Sunday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We would like to show case the talents of Lucerne Valley citizens and their families.
We need paintings, sculptures of all kinds, photography, etc. Did your parents or grandparents paint? Bring it in to show it off. Are your children creative? Show samples of their art work.
Would you like to sell your artwork? Put a price tag on it and bring it in. People are always looking for special one of kind gifts for Christmas.

LVES Drama to present ‘The Grunch’
The Lucerne Valley Elementary School Drama Club will present “The Grunch, a New Children’s Musical” on Nov. 14, 15, 21 and 22 in Goulding Hall.
Show times are 5:30 p.m. for the Nov. 14, 15 and 21 show and 4:30 p.m. for the Nov. 22 dinner theater show.
Tickets are $3 each and $5 for the dinner theater.
