A Lucerne Valley man suspected of running from authorities during a traffic stop last month was arrested Friday in Apple Valley, sheriff’s records show.
Wesley Ezekiel Burrows, 31, was arrested by Apple Valley deputies in the 22800 block of Anoka Road at 8:40 a.m. Friday.
Burrows had $500,000 worth of felony warrants out for his arrest. According to a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s report, Burrows was believed to be the passenger in a vehicle that was stopped for having no tail lights in Lucerne Valley on Dec. 23. Burrows allegedly ran away from the vehicle and evaded the deputy.
The deputy searched the vehicle and found a backpack containing ammunition, suspected burglary tools, suspected methamphetamine and Burrows’ identification card. The driver, 26-year-old Jimmie Michelle Goldsworthy of Lucerne Valley, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Goldsworthy was cited and released.
On Friday, Burrows was apprehended and booked on suspicion of possession of narcotics while armed with a loaded firearm, being a felon in possession of a firearm, buying or receiving a stolen vehicle or equipment, evading a peace officer and violating post-release supervision.
Burrows’ felony warrants are related to a litany of charges including burglary, robbery, attempted robbery, narcotics possession and unlawful firearm possession.
He was being held at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on $600,000 total bail with a no-bail hold for the violation of post-release supervision.
