A public scoping meeting will be held on Thursday, June 4 in Lucerne Valley regarding a proposed 190-acre solar project near two existing farms on Camp Rock Road.
The meeting will be held from 6 to 9 p.m at the Lucerne Valley Community Center at 33187 Highway 247 East in Lucerne Valley.
The project, which is being proposed by Lucerne Valley Solar One, is planned to be a 20 megawatt, photovoltaic solar electric power generating facility. The project would connect with existing Southern California Edison 33-kilovolt electrical line.
Two other industrial-scale solar projects have been built in the past few years in the Camp Rock Road area.
